How It's Built

Every Installation Starts From a Modular System

American Access manufactures modular ramps, stairs, steps, and landings, so every installation is built from standard aluminum components rather than fabricated to order. A dealer measures the site and assembles it on-site, often in a single day. Many of the same core components used in a short residential ramp carry over into a multi-story commercial run, so a buyer can often move or add sections instead of replacing a system, and a dealer can stock a core kit rather than a warehouse of fixed sizes.

Find the Setting That Matches Your Need

Systems are grouped by what drives the decision. In a home, it is the person using the ramp. In a public building, it is the code. Each links to the product category built for it.

Residential Settings

Homes & Residences

For most families, the decision starts with one person, such as someone recovering from surgery, aging in place, or using a wheelchair full-time. Our modular ramps install on existing entryways without construction, and when a ramp covers what used to be the front steps, our modular steps and landings can be added alongside it, so the rest of the household can keep using stairs instead of walking the ramp.

Offices & Workplaces

Offices, warehouses, and retail spaces must accommodate employees and visitors with a range of mobility needs, and ADA obligations extend to workplaces as well as publicly accessible spaces. Our ramps provide accessible entrances, while our OSHA-compliant stairs and platforms cover loading docks, mezzanines, and equipment access, in aluminum that withstands daily use.

Schools

Campuses serve students, staff, and families with a wide range of mobility needs, and they must comply with accessibility standards that leave little room for interpretation. Our modular ramps, stairs, and landings cover main entrances, portable classrooms, and walkways, and they can be reconfigured when a building changes use or a portable moves. That flexibility matters especially on a campus where the layout rarely stays still for long.

Compliance-Driven Settings

Municipal Buildings

Libraries, courthouses, and government offices must be open to everyone and comply with accessibility and safety codes at the federal, state, and local levels. Our modular ramps, stairs, and landings handle heavy daily traffic at main entrances and secondary exits alike, and they adapt to existing structures without a lengthy construction project, which keeps a building in service while access improves.

What Stands Behind
Every Product

As a proud Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned company, we hold ourselves to a high standard in everything we build, and we provide the documentation procurement officers and specifiers need to make a solid decision:
